Teaching and Learning

teaching-learning-1We promote a culture of active learning, developing children’s resilience and independence. We believe that it is through this approach that we will truly engage, challenge and motivate our children, developing a life-long love of learning.

As well as embracing the rural community in which we are situated, our approach to teaching and learning enhances the primary curriculum with a rich, varied and balanced programme or activities.

“Brilliant social and academic progress!” – Parent

teaching-learning-2Due to our small class sizes, we are able to offer the practice, not just the rhetoric, or personalised learning. Activities are tailored to meet individual needs, with targeted interventions to support and challenge children of all abilities at all stages.

“Excellently planned curriculum activities really capture pupils’ imagination and enthusiasm.” – OfSTED
