Class 2 Science Week

Class: Class 2 Year: 2023 - 2024

Class 2 celebrated British Science Week with lots of fun and engaging activities.  We started on International Women's Day by learning about Mary Anning and her contributions to the scientific community and finished the following Friday by celebrating Katherine Johnson's achievements at NASA.  Throughout the week, we enjoyed a Science Farm live lesson with Farmer Fiona, learning how she cares for her animals and how she grows their food before designing our own farm of the future using drawings and models  We also created posters along the theme of 'time' to enter into the official competition and competed against our friends in some scientific themed quizzes while children brought science books in from home to read to and share with the class as part of our Book Club sessions.
