Edible Roman Roads!

Lesson: History

Class: Class 2 Year: 2018 - 2019

Class 2 have started a new, exciting topic; "What the Romans did for us." This week, we have been looking at  Roman roads and how they were built. We learned how the Romans built over 1000 miles of roads after their invasion of Britain, some of which can still be seen today. Using digestive biscuits, Custard Creams, Maltesers, Smarties and custard, we made an edible version, showing how the roads were cleverly constructed. We then recorded our work as an instructional text.
