National Poetry Day

What a fantastic day we had today celebrating National Poetry Day! Classes 1 and 2 were inspired by the colour poem by Christina Rosetti. Class 2 wrote their own colour poems and Class 1 created a whole class poem which they put in to a song. Class 3 listened to a variety of poems, discussed how to perform poetry then took part in an online lesson led by the poet, Simon Mole. They created their own poems using their favourite words as a character. They also designed their first poetry book. Well done everyone!
