Oracy Enrichment

At Crawford Village, we ensure we provide a wide range of opportunities for children to develop their oracy skills outside of the curriculum.

We do this through:

• Election speeches for important roles in school such as: School Council, Team Captains, Values Leaders, Sports Leaders, Cyber Ambassadors and Eco-councillors

• Assemblies - these are led by pupils who have been elected into roles within the variety of councils and teams we have in school.

• Class/Year group Productions

• Meet and greet with Governors and visitors

• Reading buddies

• Subject/themed events

• We attend half-termly Sports Council Meetings

• We attend half-termly Pupil Parliament Meetings through SHARES

• We attend the Mock UN Sustainability Conference

• We attended Poetry recitals

• We attended Speech competitions
