Our Values

Our Values Champions

All the children and staff have been learning about values and how they guide our behaviour.  Together, we have decided on six school values which we will help us grow into responsible, respectful and successful members of society.

  • Friendship
  • Kindness
  • Respect
  • Integrity
  • Perseverance
  • Happiness

Our Values Champions promote these values and look out for children and adults displaying them in school.  They act as role models and are able to award stickers and certificates in assembly to recognise individuals who display the values.

The Values Champions choose one of our values as the focus for each half term.  Class and whole school assembly time allows children to learn more about the value, how we can show it and why it is important in our daily lives.

British Values

Our mission statement outlines the key aim to ensure that our children become valuable and fully rounded members of society who treat others with respect and tolerance, regardless of background.

The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of all our children is promoted through our cultural capital opportunites, assemblies, themed weeks and events linked to current affairs. Children learn about the basic British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance for different faiths and beliefs in order to prepare them for life in modern Britain.

Please visit our PSHE blog for a glimpse of British Values in action within our school.  A short-cut link can be found here.
