String Telephones

This week, Class 3 have been exploring how sound travels. They created their own string telephones and conclusions. They concluded that they work by sending sound waves inside the cup, vibrating the bottom of the cup, transferring the vibrations through the string to the the bottom of the second cup, with the sound waves becoming vibrations which allows us to hear what the other person has said. We even made an extra long telephone that reached from our classroom to Mrs Eaton's office!
