Terrific Trees: Evergreen or Deciduous?

Class 2 went outside in Science to investigate the trees in the school grounds.  Some children took photos of the trees around the grounds while others collected samples of their leaves.  We then compared the leaves to photos to identify the species and classify them as evergreen or deciduous.  Everyone was able to agree which trees were evergreen or deciduous apart from the oak tree, which we actually discovered has species of both evergreen and deciduous, although there are more species of deciduous oaks.
