Does Sound Travel Faster Underwater?

Lesson: Science

Class: Class 3 Year: 2020 - 2021

This week, Class 3 investigated whether sound travels faster underwater. They used plastic bottles with the bottoms cut off to be able to hear under water whilst their science buddy clanged together two metal spoons together in the water. They then discussed that sound does travel faster underwater due to the molecules being closer together in water than in air. Fantastic investigation Class 3!
