National Coding Week 2026

nationalcodingweek has started strongly with pupils in coding club, designing their own game and then programming characters AI to have them behave differently. They then took their skills back to Maple class to teach their friends how to do the same by designing their own games based on the stone age.

In Willow class we went also designed our own games but as well as programming the bad guys AI, we went one step forward adding in doors and linking keys to open them as well as inserting different levels to play through. We also discussed how to keep our passwords safe as part of our online safety focus. 

The Year 2 children also turned teachers in Cedar Class this afternoon as they helped to introduce our Year 1s to coding as part of #NationalCodingWeek. We were popping bubbles galore!
