Public Speaking Event

Wow. Today, two of our Year 6 pupils went to a public debate held at Latham High School by Shares Lancashire with the aim to debate, ‘should social media be banned for children under 13?’

Both pupils spoke amazingly well, with grace, poise and confidence. We did however, end up with an overall winner of whom we are so proud of.

She walked away with the best speaker award.

We have worked hard this year raising the profile and developing oracy; it is extremely pleasing to see the children recognised for their efforts. #oracy
