Putting Our Teeth To The Test

Lesson: Science

Class: Class 3 Year: 2020 - 2021

Today we tested different foods to discover the different functions of our teeth. Class 3 discovered that all our teeth are used to help us eat our food and each one has a different role. The incisors are at the front of the mouth and are used to bite the food. The canines are used to grip and help rip the food, and the molars are used to crunch and grind the food into smaller pieces for them to swallow. They had great fun testing out their teeth by eating carrots, chewy fruit sweets and popcorn.
